For the 12th edition of Archivi Aperti (“Open Archives”)—an event dedicated to promoting Italy’s photographic heritage, held from October 16 to 25, 2026, at various venues across the country—we opened the invaluable Giuseppe Pino Archive to the public. Thanks to the generosity of Superstudio and Gisella Borioli, the archive is now housed at Superstudio 13, located at Via Forcella 13 in Milan. This is a particularly significant setting: these historic Milanese photographic studios, established by Flavio Lucchini in 1983, served as a landmark for a golden age of international photography, playing a decisive role in shaping and promoting the image of "Made in Italy" worldwide.

The Superstudio Group “system” in Milan is fueled by a wide range of interests connected to creativity, art, culture, as well as hosting the most innovative international events. Author photography and fashion — reflections of contemporary life — were the original reason behind its creation and the very essence of its first venue, Superstudio 13, still active after more than forty years and continuing to stand as a fundamental hub for imagery in all its forms. 

Its studios — which have welcomed legends such as Helmut Newton, Avedon, Toscani, Bailey, Ferri, and many more — have long been frequented by the world’s most influential photographers, major creative talents, celebrated personalities, and visionary art directors, as testified by the long mural of faces at the entrance.
